Thomas Edward Brock

Thomas Edward Brock age 87 a lifelong resident of Cleveland passed away peacefully on July 3, 2020.He was one of 7 children born to the late John Jesse and Edna Green Brock. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Willie Mae Lane Brock and his son Max Brock, his brothers Oscar Brock and Glen Brock, his sisters Verlie Lea, Grace Sampson and Mamie Dunn.He retired from the textile carpet mill industry after many years of service and he was of the Baptist faith.Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies included gardening, watching the Atlanta Braves and sitting on his front porch in his rocking chair. He enjoyed traveling, seeing 49 states on a tour bus.He is survived by his son Terry Brock and his wife Joyce, his grandchildren Tyler Brock, Shelby Brock and Laurel Brock, his sister Jennie Brock Morris along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.A Remembrance of Life Service will be celebrated graveside Thursday at 2pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Hibbard officiating and family and friends serving as casket bearers.We encourage those who will be attending the services to practice social distancing and to wear face mask. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Thomas’ memory to the Caring Place, 130 Wildwood Ave., Cleveland Tn., 37311.
