Thomas George Burke

Thomas George Burke age 81 a resident of Cleveland passed away Tuesday January 21, 2020 at the family residence. He was the son of the late Leo and Maybel Burke and was also preceded in death by his brother Patrick Burke.Mr. Burke retired from the United States Army. Mr. Burke also served in the United States Marine Corp, and then with the United States Navy before retiring out of the Army. All together he served with over 23 years of service. He worked and retired from Schering-Plow with over 18 years of service. He attended Maple St. Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife Jessie Burke his sons Tommy Burke Jr. and Dustin Burke his daughters Amanda Hidalgo and Brenda Lopez, his grandchildren Jaden, Jace, Adrian, Maddison, Rose and Ashley, one great grandchild, his sister Judy Holt and numerous nieces and nephews.A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 11 o’clock Saturday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel. The interment will be held at 10:30am Monday at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with friends and family serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.
