Wanda Cross

Wanda Cross, age 80, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Cross was raised in the Bucks Pocket community and she was the daughter of the late Gladys Wilcoxon Beard and French Beard. Her husband, Ed Cross and her siblings, Veta Greene, Andrew Beard, Pearney Dixon, Alma Beard, Beatrice Messer and Homer Beard also preceded her in death. Mrs. Cross owned and operated E & W Furniture and along with her husband Ed worked on their Dairy Farm for many years. She also worked for a number of years with Cleveland Chair Factory. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden, canning and fishing. Mrs. Cross was a Christian.Survivors include her children, Nieko Graham, Suzanne Patterson and her husband Eric, Eddie Cross and his companion Crystal, and Marsha Harden, her grandchildren, Trista Cross, Dana Key, Tasha Corrie, Shea Cheatham, Jasmine Warfield, Ashley Harden, Alexis Blair and Maleah Cross, numerous great grandchildren, her sisters, Monita Chastain, Vickie Prince and her husband Winston and Chessie Norman and her husband George, her brothers, Doyle Beard and his wife Joyce, I. M. Beard and his wife Faye and Charles Beard and his wife Shirley and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Graveside Service will be conducted Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 4:30 P. M. at the Red Hill Cemetery with Chad Cross, Stoney Cross, Larry Cross, Billy Cheatham, Kevin Key and Cam Maddux serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 4:00 P. M. Saturday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
