My sympathy to the family of David Lorenz. David may have been soft-spoken but he cared more than most of us will ever know. I knew David while growing up in Cleveland and was lucky enough to get to spend time with him both while playing backyard football and as a manager for the Blue Raider football team. David was a great athlete and a great guy. You will be sorely missed, my friend. God bless you and your family.

I did not know David personally. But I did look up to him at CHS as a benchwarmer receiver. He was tall and quiet. Never figured out how he could throw looking through thick glasses and helmet face guard. But he did it. He was never a bully to those players who were not as athletically talented or popular. A fine example of a human being. He is dearly missed.
