The Reverend William Olin Roebuck, 83, of Cleveland, Tennessee, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.He was born on July 27, 1938, to the late William C. and Nora Jones Roebuck. While attending South Georgia Technical College, he accepted a call to ministry. He was a graduate of Lee College. A Church of God minister, he pastored congregations in Georgia, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Following retirement, he worked for 17 years at the Church of God International Offices as a weekend security officer.He was a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Roebuck Gassett. Survivors are his wife of almost 64 years, Melissa Maxwell Roebuck; a sister, Elizabeth Roebuck Shelley; children, David Roebuck (Kim) and Rebecca Roebuck Burt (Jay); grandchildren: Nicholas Burt (Bailey), Kristyn Burt Perez (Christian), William Roebuck (Liz), Beth Roebuck Holcomb (Jason), Jessica Burt; great-grandchildren, Cohen Clayton, Ryan Burt, Lucas Burt, Allyssia Holcomb, Kian Perez, and soon-to-be-born Opal and Nora Holcomb; brothers-in-law, Lester Maxwell (Peggy) and William McAfee; sisters-in-law, Alwayne M. Cobb and Nell M. Sherman (Richard); and, other extended family.A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, at North Cleveland Church of God’s Dixon Chapel with Dr. Steven Spears and Dr. Mark Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 Saturday at the Dixon Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hal Bernard Dixon Jr. Pentecostal Research Center, 260 11th Street NE, Cleveland, Tennessee 37311.
