Dr. Ed Dunn

Dr. Ed Dunn, age 87, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday at the family residence. Dr. Dunn was the son of the late Effie Bookout Dunn and Anthony Dunn. His daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" Dimenco and Joan Powers and his son in law, Brian Hirt also preceded him in death. Dr. Dunn has served 49 years in ministry with the Church of God. He evangelized Nationally and pastored in California. Along with his wife Marilyn, they started and pastored the Victory Christian Center in California for 21 years. He was also a well-known song writer. He enjoyed playing golf and walking 4-8 miles a day when he was able. He was known as a prayer warrior and would often pray as he walked. Dr. Dunn was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God.Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Marilyn Dunn of Cleveland, his daughters, Edlyna Hirt of Brentwood, California and Kimberly Tacaquin o Castle Rock, Colorado and his 18 grandchildren, his 18 great grandchildren and his 1 great grandchild also survives.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 1:00 P. M. at the North Cleveland Church of God, Dixon Chapel with Pastor Mark Williams, Dr. Anthony Lombard, Bishop Bill Williams and Bishop Hal Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as casket bearers.
